Dear Neighbor:
On Tuesday, November 3, 2009, you have the golden opportunity to take that short walk to your local polling
precinct and cast your vote to elect Rosemarie Nelson, Mayor of Clarkston, Georgia.
With trust, hope faith and prayers, I have worked very hard, over the years, at “putting you first” every time that I
was called upon by the Clarkston City Council to cast a vote to represent your interests. It has been my duty, obligation
and humble pleasure to serve as your Councilwoman and each time, I would be delighted when I would receive a
telephone call from a constituent about a concern or simply taking the time to listen to the children, family or friends
when they met me in one of our businesses, walking down the street or at our public meetings, to talk about the
homeless, the sick and shut in, their parents or a neighbor.
Now, after serving on the Clarkston City Council, I have decided to offer myself as a candidate for the Office of
Mayor of Clarkston, Georgia. My dedication to public service, keeping the hope, the dreams and the aspirations of those
that have come before me to provide quality representation and leadership, led to my decision to be a candidate for the
Office of Mayor of Clarkston.
With your prayers and help, I believe that a campaign designed to promote harmony, business and economic
development, good stewardship of our resources, championing the partnership to address park and recreation
services, economic and community development, home ownership, public safety, transportation, dining and retail
entertainment opportunities, education and housing, will contribute to the growth and development of the City of
Clarkston. It is a story, a belief, bestowed upon us by our parents, that we must use our education and experiences to
help the least of these, by becoming involved in public service. Call me on (404) 502-2090. Share your ideas with me on
how we can work together as a team to make our city a great place to live, work, play and shop.
Sincerely,
Rosemarie Nelson
