ROSEMARIE Nelson was elected to Clarkston's City Council in June 2004 and November 2007 by popular
vote. She worked on many boards and commissions to address public policy issues regarding the business and
financial sectors and their impact on the quality of life. Rosemarie continues to support the community at large.

Rosemarie was great at fostering valuable partnerships with Clarkston and DeKalb County’s Public
Safety and Public Works Departments to improve Clarkston’s aging infrastructure; storm drains,
streets, signage, lighting, etc. Rosemarie also developed a positive relationship with DeKalb
County's Economic Development & Community Development Departments and the DeKalb
Chamber of Commerce. She has regular interactions with the DeKalb Legislative Committee.
Moreover, she has also been involved in a number of projects including and not limited to:

                      & in Human Resource Management (MHRM) from the University of Phoenix
  • Bachelors degree in the field of Business\Computer Information Systems

But, she did not stop there, she continued to work hard to earn many, many, more educational
accomplishments working with the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) and Georgia Municipal
Association's municipal training classes, including becoming a

graduate of the DeKalb
Neighborhood Leadership Institute, Class of 2009

recognized her contribution to the discipline, profession and her civic involvement and
